Alcoholic, deep frozen farmers who threaten little boys with guns, old ladies driving sports cars and fights over picking mushrooms in each other’s mushroom territory.

 

It all happens in Älvsbacka, a village in Sweden where my parents bought a house eighteen years ago. It’s a place that, with only 200 inhabitants, would often be discarded as “the middle of nowhere” in today’s society. I have however come to the conclusion that much more happens there than in the big city, where we tend to overlook the things that happen right in front of our faces because there is too much to focus on.

 

Stories from Älvsbacka will be my first book, which I’m planning to publish in 2025. I've selected three of the short stories that will be in it for you to read.
